Tips to Avoid Fraud

1) Recognize it. Report it. Fraud by telephone, Internet and mail is a very serious issue. If a telemarketer has contacted you or if you have been defrauded, consider contacting the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) at www.ftc.gov or call 1.877.FTC.HELP.
2) You have a choice about receiving telemarketing calls. Please consider registering your telephone numbers, including wireless numbers, on the national “Do-Not-Call” Registry. To register call 1.888.382.1222. You must call from the telephone number you wish to register or register online at www.donotcall.gov.
3) Ask for the name of the company, and the city and state they do business in. Verify information through the Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division in that state. It is generally a toll-free number. In addition, we recommend you consider the following:
a. Never pay “upfront” fees to anyone offering to sell your timeshare;
b. Nevergive your credit card number or other personal information to strangers; and,
c. Never be afraid to ask a lot questions.

Jockey Club’s Toy Drive

This year, Jockey Club had the most successful Toy Drive to date! We would like to extend a great, big, Thank You, to all who helped in making this happen. With the help of all of you, we were able to fill 6 extra large boxes of toys, 4 large boxes of clothes, and 2 large boxes of food! WOW!
A special thank you to Devona Newell, who was the driving force behind this year’s Toy Drive, and made this happen. Also, a thank you to the ladies at Snow Lake Lodge resort in Big Bear, CA, for making several patchwork blankets, and for knitting hats, gloves and scarfs.
This year we donated everything to a local school here in Las Vegas. Sadly, 518 out of the 610 children at this school, are homeless. But this year, with the support of Jockey Club, and other businesses in Las Vegas, the principle was able to gift every child with something this year. Hopefully, making everyone’s Holiday’s just a little bit brighter.

Vegas, Baby!

Rossi Ralenkotter, from the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Bureau, said, “he expects 1 million more visitors in 2011 than 2010, when the region had 37.3 million. That continues a trend of increased visitor volume in 15 of the last 16 months.” This is good news for Jockey Club and the Vegas timeshare industry as a whole.

Jockey Club has also experienced an increase in timeshare owners exchanging and non-timeshare owners renting suites compared to previous years. Could this be an upswing in the economy, tourists looking for the most affordable (and well reviewed) vacation destinations, Celine Dion fans returning in the masses since she’s back, or that celebrity sightings are as frequent as Rodeo Drive?

The exact answer is uncertain, but statistics show that travel websites have seen a big jump in the number of people wanting to visit Vegas. Additionally, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority is heavily promoting the city through numerous social media outlets. It may also help that the big hotels are recruiting more celebrities to stay and celebrate just about any occasion at their establishments. For the first time in years, hotels are reporting an increase in their room rates; however, rates are still relatively low and affordable for those on a tight budget. View Jockey Club’s rates.

While foot traffic has increased on Las Vegas Blvd. and visitation rates have increased for 12 consecutive months, we are hoping the trend will continue into the fall. Get booking and stay with us- have you seen our renovated suites and new exterior enhancements?

BOY! was I surprised

My first thought upon entering the parking of the Jockey Club was this is a cheesie place, BOY! was I surprised, WOW!!! It was clean first and for most, and yes wide and spacious for my family of three. As I sat in the room with the door closed listening to Sada I was at peace and now have memories that will stay with me for the rest of my life. I wasn’t able to sleep due to the fact that I looked forward to shopping, walking the Vegas Strip and topping the night off with a spa and relaxation here at the Jockey Club. Yes!!! truly a club for all class that will make u feel special no matter what is going on in ones life. These three nights and four days were the best for me and my family. Thank you Jockey Club for the wonderful time.

Great room, great value, great experience.

Wanted a condo so I could cook Christmas dinner for my AF son and his friends. The Jockey Club was such a good experience, I don’t think I’ll ever stay anywhere else in Vegas. The room was very clean, well-maintained; had a fully stocked kitchen; comfortable beds; friendly staff. The location – center of the strip – is great, even more so now that Cosmopolitan is open next door. My only (very minor) negatives are that it’s a little inconvenient getting your luggage to the back tower, and a little better signage to valet entrance would be nice.
