An Irving Berlin song, “There’s No Business Like Show Business,” was written for the musical Annie Get Your Gun (orchestrated by Ted Royal), and, at that time, New York City’s Broadway Theatre District was the foremost destination to see the hottest, newest musicals.
Well, times have changed and Las Vegas is now one of the premiere locations to see classic, highly acclaimed and the newest musicals. While both cities proudly feature the musicals’ neon marquees and advertisements displayed on taxi cabs, Vegas is different in that the show schedules can operate longer, theaters tend to have newer technology, and shows typically run 90-95 minutes with no intermission.
